Thrifty Mortgage
It depends. If you are a teacher who is a contract employee, then you will need to provide a copy of your contract and a current pay check stub and for the most part, will be treated as a regular employee.  If you are a construction worker who is paid on a 1099 form (meaning the company you work for does not hold taxes out on you) then you need a two year average to qualify for a mortgage.
