Thrifty Mortgage
In the process of financing a home, you will deal with a real estate attorney. The attorney represents the lender in the transaction and is there to ensure the loan documents are executed property. You will typically go to the closing attorney's office as the final step to securing the mortgage. You have the right to choose the attorney, but it is not unusual for the real estate agents to suggest a preferred attorney. This is because the real estate agent is very familiar with the area and has a good idea on which attorney will deliver the best service; however, you can choose the attorney you want to handle the transaction.

Depending on how the purchase contract is negotiated, the buyer or seller can pay the attorney fees. The initial fees will be provided to you on the Good Faith Estimate.
